Karl (Dan Davies), a former football star injured and washed up in the decaying town of New Richfield, WI. Karl is trapped in a life of has-beens, broken dreams, lost football career. When the town's future is threatened by the corruption of Mayor McSwifty (Kayla Kelly), her henchman, Murdoch Leckie (Jerry Robert) and an invasion of zombie mutant deer. Larry (C.J. Guzan), the local bar owner that Karl spends over $200 a night over the bar inspires Karl to turn his life around, against his wife Shelia's (Caroline Thompson) wishes through an awe-inspiring song. Karl's Siblings; Charlotte (Amy Radloff), Todd (Ezekiel Drews) and Kurt (Daniel Wheeler) are in Karl's corner.
Karl regains his former glory and devises a plan to save New Richfield.
He organizes "Cornstock", a grand festival meant to revive community spirit and the necessary resources to save the town.
Along this transformative journey, Karl and a cast of quirky characters rediscover their pride, forge new alliances and rally together to defeat the undead menace and challenge the corrupt status quo, rekindling hope for their town.
